Hats off to Brian Flynn, the director of this most entertaining musical production that this actor has seen in a very long time!

The Cy Coleman musical, with clever lyrics by David Zippel, and book by Larry Gelbart, takes place in Hollywood in the late 1940s, with two stories occurring simultaneously: a Hollywood comedy and a detective drama.

A self-serving, Hollywood producer, reads a detective story and hires the young novelist to rewrite his story into a screenplay, but the author is continually frustrated by the producer's constant changes. It is equally as frustrating to the characters in his book, who come to life during the writing. Particularly harassed, is the leading character, Stone, the private eye.

Take my word for it...you don't want to miss this wonderful production of fun, and pure entertainment! I promise, you'll be blown away by the amazing vocals, accompanied by a fabulous, 11-piece orchestra, as well as the company's comedic character acting, pacing and timing. Also noteworthy, was Brian Flynn and Andrew Hafer's two story set!

I was very pleased to be among last Saturday night's audience, enthusiastically applauding and cheering on this terrific cast! All concerned with the set, the sound and lighting should also be congratulated on a job well done!!
