"Death of a Salesman" is postponed until Oct. 2012 as a result of the devastating flood in Owego. The theater's basement sustained significant damage, but no water reached the main level. Our thoughts and prayers are now with all the families affected by the flood.

"Death of a Salesman" by Arthur Miller is a gripping play of deep and revealing beauty that remains one of the most profound classic dramas of the American theatre. The story revolves around the last days of Willy Loman, a failing salesman, who cannot understand how he failed to win success and happiness. Through a series of tragic, soul-searching revelations of his life we discover how his quest for the “American Dream” kept him blind to the people who truly loved him.

story
Because of events surrounding the flood we we decided to add a third weekend to "A Christmas Story," which will include a free performance for flood victims and their families. While keeping in mind our own current challenges, this is also a time when the Ti-Ahwaga Players will do everything we can to give back to the community that has supported us for 53 years.

For the tenth consecutive season, the popular holiday classic "A Christmas Story" portrays the riotous trials and travails of young Ralphie Parker on his quest for the one thing he wants for Christmas: a Red Ryder BB gun. His requests keep getting reproved with a "you'll shoot your eye out" by his parents, teacher, and even Santa Claus so he's not real sure he's going to get it. On top of that, his skirmishes with his brother Randy and the school bully Scut Farkus leave him wondering if he'll ever make it to Christmas at all. (Not included with the Season Ticket price.)

"Rumors" is a farcical comedy by Neil Simon about several affluent couples who gather in the posh residence of a couple for a dinner party celebrating their anniversary. When the couples arrive, they discover there are no servants, the hostess is missing, and the host—the deputy mayor of New York City—has shot himself through the earlobe. Comic complications arise when they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening’s events from the local police and the media.

"Pippin," with book by Roger O. Hirson and music & lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, is a hip, tongue-in-cheek, musical fairy tale that appeals to the young at heart everywhere. The energetic pop-influenced score by three-time Oscar®-winning composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz (“Godspell,” “Children of Eden” and the animated films “Pocahontas” and “The Hunchback Of Notre Dame”) bursts with one showstopping number after another, from soaring ballads to infectious dance numbers.
